A Pool Built Around Your Child's Development

Most swim facilities are built for lap swimmers — and infant programs are an afterthought. RCSA's facility is purpose-configured for the Aquatic Advantage Curriculum, with water temperatures, depth ranges, and pool layout designed specifically around the needs of children ages 6 months to 6 years.

The observation setup lets parents watch every lesson without disrupting the instructor-child relationship — a key factor in how quickly young children build water trust and comfort.

88°
Heated Pool Water

Maintained at 88°F — the temperature range recommended for infant and toddler aquatic instruction. Warm water reduces muscle tension, improves comfort, and helps young children relax into instruction rather than react to cold.

4:1
Max Instructor Ratio

Private lessons are always 1:1. Group lessons (Grouper) never exceed 4 students per instructor. This isn't a marketing claim — it's a hard cap built into the AAC curriculum structure.

ADA
Fully Accessible

Our facility is fully ADA accessible — including pool entry, changing areas (public locker rooms, showers, and private family rooms with showers), observation zones, and parking. Every family should be able to access the Blue Effect regardless of physical ability.

For Siblings & Families

Bringing older siblings? Our facility includes an outdoor playground so the whole family is covered while lessons are in session.

Your First Visit, Walk-Through

Arrival

Check In & Orientation

Arrive 10 minutes before your first lesson. You'll check in at the front desk, get a brief facility orientation, and be introduced to your child's instructor before entering the pool area.

Before the Pool

Changing & Prep

Private changing rooms are available for your child (and parent, for Minnow classes). Swim diapers are required for all children under 3 — available at the front desk if needed.

During the Lesson

Observation Area

Parents watch from a dedicated poolside observation area — close enough to see everything, positioned to avoid distracting your child. Research shows children build water trust faster when they can't constantly seek reassurance from parents on the deck.

Our dedicated classroom gives parents a full, unobstructed view of the pool while keeping the pool deck calm for your child.

After the Lesson

Instructor Debrief

After every lesson, your instructor will give you a brief debrief — what was worked on, how your child responded, and what to watch for at home. Progress is communicated after every session, not just at formal check-ins.

Every session ends with a direct conversation — what happened in the water, and what it means for your child's development.

What Keeps Your Child Safe

RCSA's safety protocols go beyond state requirements. Every element of our facility operation is designed around the safety of young swimmers.

CPR & First Aid Certified

Every instructor maintains current CPR and First Aid certification. Certifications are tracked and renewed on a mandatory schedule — no instructor is in the water without current credentials.

Water Chemistry Monitoring

Pool water chemistry is tested and logged multiple times daily. pH, chlorine, and alkalinity are maintained within the ranges recommended for infant and toddler swimmers.

Instructor-to-Student Ratios

Private lessons are always 1:1. Group lessons are capped at 4:1. These ratios aren't just policy — they're built into the AAC curriculum structure and never waived for enrollment convenience.

Secure Facility Access

Pool area access is controlled. Only enrolled families, credentialed staff, and approved visitors enter the pool deck. No unsupervised pool access at any time.

Emergency Action Plan

A written Emergency Action Plan is posted, rehearsed, and updated annually. All staff know their roles in an emergency before they ever work with a student.

Swim Diaper Policy

Double swim diapers are required for all children under 3 and all children not yet fully potty trained. This protects all students in the water — no exceptions.
